i am going to be building my first pump gun and i wanted to see what you experienced people feel about the hitman mod.

Do you like using them?
Are they good?
What are some disadvantages if any?
Should i even bother making one?

Im sure i will have more questions later but i think this will hold me until i accually get my gun (i should say 2:cool:)together.

I picked up a hitman CCM back from Rainman the last time he did a run. On the CCM kit I'm using it has a spring inside the handle which makes the return very quick while keeping the pump stroke pretty light. The only issue I've found is it does tend to cant the handle downward in the front when you pull it back to varying degrees. Sometimes it's pretty light while others it's a bit firmer than I'd like. I'm sure an application of a light grease would solve that problem but to date I've not used a hitman pump handle in a game to see if it's an issue then.

I have an older CCM AT which I'm not a fan of. From what I understand the newer ones aren't an issue. It's odd but on the rare occasions I've used the AT I've noticed that after about 4 shots I'd shoot air or it wouldn't cock. Now whether that was from the hopper (gravity pocket hopper) or just a problem with that set up I'm not sure. I ruled out operator error when it happened the second time because I knew I wasn't short stroking it.

I made one for my old orracle pump:

Used 6010 welding rod, bent it up and then polished it. Work really good.

It felt nice and was easy to use with the 15* asa on orracle. Just depends on what you like really. After using a phantom for awhile it is just natural to use pump handle on my new S6 now.

What holds the ends into the metal? i dont see how it can be screwed in since its two ends going into it.

I drilled mine at a slight downward angle that way it cuold easily be taken on and off. Just a slight dab of super glue and it would stay in place perfectly while playing but yet it was still easy enough to break free and take off if i wanted to.

I read somewhere that CCM recently got the green light from LA Hitmen to make some. I saw the Rainman one in person, but it's positioned to far out from the reg for my hands. There is a silly video on YouTube with some dude making one in his garage with a nice set of tools like a drill press. I like the way his turned out, as it extends closer to the reg than the Rainman version. I'm hoping that the one CCM is supposedly making will be of similar design.

did you happen to hear when they might release some? Can anyone else add to this rumor?

intresting. good to see ccm maintaining their love of the sport and not going after anyone..
ccm will sell them for their kits. but what if you have a WWA or some other kit?? I guess homemade is still the way to go. lol
