So I own two motorcycles, but they're 1000 miles away while I'm at a training command here in South Carolina... But there are trails all over the place...

So I got an idea:

Cannondale F7, if you can't read! haha

I haven't been on a bicycle since the state gave me a license to drive. I didn't have a ton of money to throw around, but this looks to have been a great choice to start out.

I'm moving to Saratoga Springs, NY in May... hoping to find some more interesting terrain out there and perhaps even some fellow enthusiasts!

Very nice bike. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it?

BTW- did you know they use to make motorcycle also? very outside the box designs.

You won't have a problem finding places to ride just outside Saratoga.

about 400 after tax... 406 and some change. (7% sales tax down here is a killer!)

I had no idea that cannondale made motorcycles... There's gotta be a reason they don't anymore! haha

Great design...4 stroke, electric start, fuel injected, cassette gearbox 400cc thumper. Motor was built by Rotax I believe the rest was made by Cannondale.

Got rave reviews but I don't think the budget was ever there to market it properly and the motorsports division went belly up.

I love that cannondale.

I wish I still had the motivation to ride my bike to its fullest, but after fracturing my neck (in two places, at that) with it, i just don't ride much anymore, just for errands and the occasional trail.

Where do you ride?

Right now, Charleston area. Haven't had a chance to visit any trails yet. Hopefully this weekend offers a couple of hours to myself and I can go for an extended tour of the area.

S. Carolina? Man thats nice riding country. I envy you, its pretty darn flat here. I have to go all the way to Gainesville to get good riding.

I would actually prefer some hills. But there are some darn nice wilderness trails out by the marshes.

You'll find tons of places to ride, I used to live in Saranac Lake, NY (upstate) and there is great riding all around there as well. I used to race downhill in and around the east coast quite a bit so I'm not so big on the XC deal, but I guarantee you'll find some really good XC trails downstate.
