Well, just got this, its a highly sporterized M1917 WWI US issue 30-06, and thought I would share. Of course the pics do not do the wood work justice.

I did not post in picture gallery because its not a marker for others to envy

.30-06 is my favorite caliber. Best combination for both knockdown power and range.

Wow that's pretty slick! My reach-out-and-touch gun is a 30-30 that was given to me by my dad. hmm I think I may go shooting this weekend. :)

Yeah, I'm going to shooting this weekend also, but not real guns, all paintball this weekend...now maybe next...will challenge my fiancee, she has a Mosin Nagant m91/30 in 7.62x54r that's a lot of fun to shoot also

That sounds fun too. I don't shoot my rifles too much. I usually only shoot my pistols. I have an old H&R .22mag revolver, an unissued CZ-82 and a Ruger Mark III Hunter.

yeah, I shoot my pistols much more often also as its much cheaper to shoot them, have a Ruger 98DC 9mm, Springfield XD .40 subcompact, and a Hi-Point .45...our little rebate checks are buying me a CZ-52 unfired, and a new .22lr/.22mag single action revolver. have the mossburg 500 12 guage and a rem 597 .22lr rifle also, and 2 black powder revolvers...gotta be well rounded ;)

LOL its not a sniper rifle, with the barrel twist will only stablize a bullet out to about 500 yards before I start getting a tumble. Its just a very nice shooting target/deer rifle
