Pros

Frame comfort is outstanding
The outside milling is great
Barrel good
Cocking rod outstanding
Ram is nice but it need to have a SS base not alu
LPR (WPG tickler Tribute)
Reg good (WGP Tributre but better with matched parts)
IVG very nice
Feedneck very nice
Valve is nice (spring very soft)
Hammer TBD

Cons

Attention to detail on the ano so so. (ano not niche's fault but the anodizer)
Sear and lug not polished so trigger wasn't that smooth (fix by polishing the sear or adding a roller sear) (Installing brass tipped glide screw)
Three way actuator rod not bent correctly (soft bend causing it to rub the frame and push out) and thread need to be rolled and not cut
Horrible constructed pump arm not bent correctly and thread need to be rolled not cut (not niche's fault but the mfg. of the rod) They are making their own now
FB nice but need to have more meat where the plug threads in as not to bottom out into the LPR threads
3way shaft needs some work minor (wrench flats or Dye style front adjuster with plastic set screws like the ANS ones) (O-ring supports need to be thinner or tapered)
LPR need more wrench flats as two make to difficultly to remove without damage
Bolt works ok but it's hard to remove due to the rounded back. The three piece design needs to go. the carbon tube is just for looks as it is slipped over a alu tube for strength. The small bolt face port TBD.
Backblock cocking rod threaded need more meat IMO

With all of this, Niche is a new company making parts we all desire and need. They have learned allot with the Nemesis . Now speaking for myself, I like function over looks most of the time AKA LPR is plain, Belsales 3way looks like a beehive, and ANS LPR's are downright ugly but they function very well.
The Nemesis body milling design is out of the world crazy, and looks outstanding. The trigger frame is one of a kind taking the good form many other frames and combining them into one to make a outstanding cocker frame.

For a company R&D and making 95% of the parts in house within in just under a year OUTSTANDING, yes some things were out of their control (Anodizing & pump arm) but all in all it's a nice marker. Rich and Rob are great guys trying to keep us, picky Autococker crew happy with new items.

Now enough with me, there should be at least 28 more Nemesis owners out there to provide opinion and reviews on the Nemesis (pros and Cons). Feedback good or bad will only help the Niche crew be successful!

Quick video of shooting. Sorry for the out of frame shots. Also the bolt pin was bumped out by me and it did not walk out on it self.

Hey maybe you better go look at it again... hehe. ..

I think at first when that finish was proposed, several expressed a interest. Then time passed and with the extra time some might have changed finish choice. I changed my first choice during that time.

MM was hot on the clear finish initially and he went another way.

Trust me, I'm staring right at mine and it's completely polished clear. I just checked the pictures in the nemesis thread; the other one is two-tone so there are 2 full-polished (#15 and #16).

The silence is deafening. Did everyone just hang them on the wall. Making me nervous. I was the most unlucky of all. Ano issues twice. Not Niche's fault. They have been great about not shipping me something that was done incorrectly. Was waiting to post this until I could report i had received mine. Confident that Niche will get my situation resolved completely.

My main customer makes a custom piece of equipment. They were a new start up about 7 years ago. The equipment they made then was good but it is even better today. Because they listen to their customers and are always looking to improve their product.

So what do you guys think? Doc stuck his neck out and told us what he really thought. Looks like the issues he found has not scared him off future projects.

Expectations were very high. I was definitely hoping for Ah Ha.

Tryiing to cater to a perfectionist clientele is not a easy task from ground zero. Doc's issues seem minor to me. Maybe you guys have preferred to talk to niche via pm. But that sure leaves Doc hanging out there.

I am still looking forward to receiving mine.Confident enough to switch to a more expensive ano.

I am betting that Niche has a very bright future.

So what do you guys think?

So what do you guys think?

First, a big "Thank you" to doc.

Second, the cons he listed that are directly attributable to Niche seem like some pretty amateurish mistakes, and someone with a decent amount of experience with Autocockers would have paid special attention to those points.

For their first major project, it looks like they did well, and, if they keep their eyes and ears open and listen to their customers (which they seem to have no trouble doing), the next attempt will be even better. Best of luck to them, and I hope their current customers are happy.

[Full disclosure: I've no hands-on experience with Niche's products.]

Thanks Docfire. I appreciate the review. Its always good to know where things excel and where they have shortcomings.

We at Niche are listening to all the feedback. Some of which has already lead to changes being implemented.

Awesome review Doc, and I appreciate the critical opinions. I would more than likely not given that much attention to detail, but now I have a renewed interest in making my review very detailed! I have had 2 instances of shooting my Nemesis ano'd by FX. The first time it shot flawlessly, the second time I had a ball break in the breech. I don't know if I short-stroked and it double fed, or if the Revy couldn't keep up, but I'm gonna throw a Rotor on it next time. I did use a freak insert in the barrel kit and it was very snug getting it in,(no complaint, just a little tough to get in and out). I am playing on the 13th of September w/DarkApollo and his girlfriend and I am going to play exclusively w/my Nemesis. I'll definitely write up a review of my experience on the field.

My second Nemesis got shipped to Tim Firpo, Planet Eclipse tech, and runs his own business PBTek in Vacaville CA. He is a trusted "personality" in paintball, and a hell of a good tech. Along w/Dan Bacci, he is going to do a review of the Nemesis and videotape it as well. I can't wait to see what him and Dan come up with!

Did you even dare to open it?

Ran some air though it.

Docs review to me is golden, highs lows and detailed. I don't think his complaints are minor at all considering the amount of $ spent on it, but that's just my .02$. Thanks again for your review Doc

Haven't shot paint out of mine yet, so this isn't a full review. Am posting from phone, besides.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the level of craftsmanship and value of this custom piece, especially coming so many years after available mass-produced AC parts went out of production. Remember, this was all scratch-build.

Personally, I also have a small gripe with the fit of the timing rod. It does affect the trigger pull a bit. I have a pile of them, though, NOS, even, so it's hardly a big deal. My pump arm seems completely fine, though I'm going to take a closer look at it and blue loctite it to the ram before taking the gun out. Also going to blue loctite the detent. I may swap the sear for a Belsales roller, but I'm not touching the trigger plate - I don't want to polish the hard ano off.

Everything else seems absolutely top notch, from the fit and finish to materials, design, etc.

Just spent some time fiddling with the gun and have some updates.

Here's what I did today:

Blue loctited both parts of the detent.
Swapped the sear for a Belsales roller. Nothing wrong with the one it came with, but getting moar smootherer is nice. As I said above, I'm not interested in polishing this trigger plate and losing the ano. Why people are always doing that to their spool valve engines boggles my mind.
Swapped the pump arm for an AKA one. The one it came with really only looks SLIGHTLY off from the others I had laying around, but it's one less thing to worry about. I was going to remove and re-install it anyways to blue loctite to the ram, so I just changed it out while I had it off.
Swapped the timing rod for a new old stock one I had on hand. This made a change in the feel of the trigger pull and smoothness of release (it had been sticking a little on the way out)

I did come across one additional annoyance when looking at the gun closer and then doing my mods and subsequent re-timing today: the 4-way collar integrated into the shaft. The setscrew on the timing rod end is just too small to be worth a damn. It came loose while I was dry-firing the gun before I even made changes. I thought I had it tight on the re-install, but there's just no metal there to grab the rod. It backed out during my dry-firing after re-timing and is now somewhere on the floor of my family room. As a result, my replacement timing rod is now blue-loctited into the 4-way collar.

So here's my question: Is this 4-way a clone of something else? I don't seem to have any 4-way shafts on hand that match this o-ring placement. I'd love to swap the shaft for a another one that allows the use of a standard timing collar with meaty grub screws.

Also, the valve sounds a little farty, but I haven't put paint through the gun yet. For all I know, that goes away with a bit of back-pressure and fine tuning the reg. Worst case, I bust out my bag o' Maddmann springs.

Again, all in all, very pleased with the gun. A couple minor hiccups don't detract from the sweetness that is the whole package of a heavily-milled, custom built 'cocker in the year 2014. A first-run model, at that. In some ways, we Nemesis owners are beta-testers Niche and will determine future changes and improvements. This whole process was, I'm sure, a hell of a learning experience for them. If our biggest gripes are limited to minor, peripheral components, I'd say it's a huge win.

Oh, and before I forget: I LOVE the wrench flats on the cocking rod!

2nd edit: Docfire - if you'd like me to post my comments in a separate thread not in your forum, please LMK.

Being a mag-guy, the Nemesis was/is my first truly high-end autococker... reading these reviews has been very informative as you've found issues I didn't even know to look for. With that in mind, would someone be able to provide an example of a proper pump arm and timing rod versus the niche models?

If I laid them side by side and took pictures, you probably couldn't see the difference.

The stock timing rod rubbed slightly on the pull and more notably on release. It would move deeper and shallower in the plate hole during the motion of the pull with a notable stick and 'pop' out on the release. The bend was just off a tiny bit, but I don't know enough about machining to tell you what the mfgr did wrong.

The stock pump arm was really close, but slightly out of alignment (didn't center at both ends without minor adjustment) and thus could put strain on ram shaft or backblock threads. I went with an AKA I had laying around just to be safe.

Now I just want to know if there's a 4-way shaft that matches this spacing, because I'd prefer to use a standard timing collar with larger grub screws.

I'm going to bring my Nemesis to Splatterpark this week and most likely shoot it all day. I too would like to get a good amount of pain through it so I can give some honest opinions as well!
