Monkey Butt Customs (username Craptacular001)
I contacted Monkey Butt on 5/12/14 about a 17 part anodizing job and we discussed themes and price. We settled on "a dark blue and light blue acid wash (to look like water) with a thin and sparse black splash over the top). The parts arrived there on 6/3/14, this is what I sent:
When the parts were stripped he informed me that the VASA and Reg were of a lower grade aluminum and would not take the ano the same (I knew about the VA, but was surprised about the Ergo reg) and that the 9oz co2 tank's coating would not strip. I decided to send over a 3.5 oz tank which added over a week delay. At each step of the way Monkey Butt let me know how the project was going and where in the queue my gun was.
By 6/20 my gun was already finished and I was messaged high quality photos for my approval. I paid and the gun arrived on 6/25!
Some notes:
1. The Price was very fair
2. Great communication and lots of updates along the way.
3. 3 week turnaround time, even with my 1 week delay to ship new tank
4. Fantastic quality of polishing and ano, excellent realization of my description
5. The tolerances are exactly the same as when I sent it, screws fit perfectly.
6. Quick shipping and extremely well packaged
Overall, I have used 5 anodizers and this was the best experience I have had yet (Arc Anodizing is a close second). I could not be any happier with any part of the process. The end product is incredible! Don't hesitate to use these guys for your project.
