Autococker Pneumatic Ram End Cap question

Autococker Pneumatic Ram End Cap - does this part have an internal orings ? Trying to rebuild a Trilogy and found out an Empire Ressy ram shaft will fit inside the STO ram housing as my stock and back up shafts are both bent. However the hole passing thru the end cap is too small for the Empire shaft to pass thru, therefore I has going to drill it bigger for the shaft to pass through. Is this a feasible process ?

Yes, there is an o-ring in the end cap to seal the area around the shaft. If you drill it out for a larger ram shaft, you will have to turn an o-ring groove into the end cap.
www.moodypb.com, not taking any work, but the articles are still there.
