I picked up a Sterling off of Customs Cocker Forum. The Sterling was missing a few parts but most of it was there. The big thing was that someone milled the body. The problem was that someone milled gills through the body to close to the air passage.

I picked it up for a good price. Mostly wanted it for a mock up parts and use the body for dimensions.

So I pulled out the box of Sterling parts I bought and started working on it.

Pulled some stock aluminum I had in the shop that was just about the size I needed.
Squared it up

Drilled some holes in it ...

Rounded the top, put the feed port in and the screw holes for the CCM spyder feed neck.

With a little more milling and trial fit, this is what I came up with so far.

Nice work

Whats the reason for the sandwich plate between the body & grip?

Also why the overhang on this under the barrel?

The rail is how the frame is mounted to the body ( Sterling design )

The custom rail was made long to mount a AGD ASA.
